Pattern Blocks & Printable Mats

These pattern blocks are so much fun! We borrowed ours but you can buy them online or at a teacher store. Since I borrowed mine, I needed some free, printable pattern block mats/designs and I found them HERE at

At first, B wasn’t interested in the mats and just wanted to make his own designs like snowmen and houses (I mean he made snowmen for MONTHS!). We also use them for sorting and for making patterns.

When I got these out again the other day, B started using the mats and loved them so I went back and printed more. This resource is also neat because they offer the patterns in black and white or in color (which helps children by also giving the color of block that is needed).

Speak Your Mind

  1. Emily would love these…now I need to get myself a set of pattern blocks!!

  2. Wow! I love your blog!

I just found you from a link you posted on 1+1+1=1. And can I just say…AMAZING JOB! I will be a regular reader from now on. Thanks for all of the good ideas.

    Your fan,
    Cathy aka The Attached Mama

  3. I have noticed that you have been commenting on a few of the blogs that I also comment on, so I thought i would stop by for a visit.

I have enjoyed visiting your blog and learning about the fun, hands on activities you do.

I look forward to visiting regularly.

  4. Thanks for this! The link seems to be broken, but I was able to find the pattern block mats on the kinders website. We already have a Patternables book, but many of those pages are too tricky for my almost-3yo. A few of the kinders mats seem simple enough for my little guy. Some of the harder ones will be fun for my 6yo.
Once again, thanks for a great, easy idea!
