Cardboard Shape & Rubber Bands

Here’s a great activity for your toddler or preschooler using a cardboard shape and rubber bands. It is great for strengthening finger and hand muscles which is important for beginning writers.

Cut a star out of sturdy cardboard and give your child several rubber bands to stretch over it.

This is a great activity for motor skill development. It was harder for B than I thought it would be. Next time, I will cut the cardboard into a rectangle and maybe that will be easier for him.

This activity was inspired by Mama to 3 Blessings!

Thank you for noting my blog! Looks like you used string - try rubberbands next time - this worked for my toddler. :)
