Get cooking with Number Burgers! These number burgers are a fun way for kids to work with numbers 1-12. This matching activity adds pretend play to make for a fun learning experience.
The buns have a numeral on them, the burger patty has a number word, the cheese has stars to count, and the pickles have tally marks.
I had to “cook” these with B because it was his first experience with tally marks and he doesn’t know the number words yet. Start with a bun, find the matching burger and toppings, then finish with the top bun.
He had a great time using the spatula and then sorting them back onto plates when he was finished. I think this would be even cuter if you made it with fabric, felt, and craft foam instead of the construction paper I printed them on.
