A simple and fun Science activity for Summer is to catch a bug.
Catch an interesting bug and observe it for the day.
Draw a picture of it.
Write a story about it.
Find out more about it online.
Or just talk about it.
Then observe it when you release it.
Does it fly away?
Run away?
Stay in one spot?

LM is majorly into bugs. He likes to look at them with a magnifying glass. Also, he has no fear, so I have to watch. He wants to hold them all, even spiders.

I think it would be best to only observe the bug for a few.minutes instead of the whole day. Keeping it prisoner for that long is cruel.

We used to put bugs in big jars with holes in them at my grandparents in the summer.
