Kids of all ages love water! Inside or outside, here are creative ways to play with water.
Indoor Water Factory
Lay out a towel on the kitchen floor (so they’re still near you), and put out a plethora of bowls, muffin tins, measuring cups, bowls of ice, and of course… cups of water. Lots of mixing, stewing, and creating will ensue!
Blow Up Pool
M (almost 5) and G (almost 13 months) love splashing in the blow up pool.
We also fill up deep Rubbermaid containers (lid safely stashed up high) with a little water and create a spa! M bounces from “jacuzzi” to “jacuzzi” and G loves when we dump bath toys in.
Good Old Bucket of Ice and Water
At G’s first birthday party recently, he happily toddled around and ate his obligatory smash cake. But, when did he really squeal and splash and play? When we let him and his little buddy C (18 months) play in the ice bucket. Most, if not all, of the ice had melted down and the boys played until they were both soaked from head to toe!
So it definitely doesn’t take a big trek to the beach or community pool to cool off this summer!
