I love open ended crafts that allow our family to sit around the table, spend time talking, and get creative together!
As Summer comes to an end, use this simple craft to gather together and share your favorite parts of Summer.
Coffee filters and cupcake liners are common items in most homes and they just happen to be interesting to create coffee filter animal crafts.
Supplies:
- coffee filters
- cupcake liners
- Elmer’s Early Learners Glue
- construction paper
- markers, crayons, or paint
- accessories (pom poms, googly eyes, glitter, etc.)
Gather your materials and put them in the middle of the table.
Don’t forget the glue! Elmer’s Early Learners Glue Stick has been specifically designed for little hands and the triangular shape encourages a tripod writing grip.
You can have a theme like we did (animals) or just start crafting and see what you come up with.
Cut, shape, color, and glue. The Elmer’s Early Learners Glue Pen is perfect for this craft. It gives you the perfect dab of glue and dries clear!
She was so proud of her owl and named it Mel.
We also made a lion, zebra, and a zizzer zazzer zuzz.
Then, things got 3 dimensional with a “volcano”.
What I discovered during our crafting time is that the little moments together (ice cream, swimming, a movie) were their favorite parts of Summer (and mine too).
Thank you to Elmer’s Early Learners Academy for sponsoring this crafting time.
