I have a love hate relationship with cardboard boxes. I love that my daughter likes to create with them, like she did with this Cardboard Box Pizza Oven, but I get overwhelmed by the clutter of having them around.
My daughter spent hours creating this cardboard box pizza oven and then even more hours playing with it.
How to Make a Cardboard Box Pizza Oven:
- Tape closed all sides of a box.
- Use scissors or a knife (adults only) to cut a half circle from the bottom edge of the box. This will make a flap to serve the purpose of the oven door.
- Use construction paper to add details such as the bricks on the front and the flames inside the oven.
- Use other cardboard pieces and paper to make a pizza stone and pretend pizzas for cooking.
Here’s a close up of the pizzas she created and the french fries she decided she needed as well. It is just simple paper and cardboard, but she made them so they are perfect for her.
This cardboard pizza oven turned into a restaurant and you can’t have a restaurant without a menu. The possibilities are endless with cardboard boxes and an imagination. After this pizza oven she made a soda machine, deep fryer, and cupboard which lead me back to my original point about having a love hate relationship with cardboard boxes. What have you made with cardboard boxes?
