We love making these easy spider treats for kids. They are great for Halloween parties and get togethers. I love that my kids can get in the kitchen to prepare them with me.
You probably have these ingredients on hand (except the fresh donut holes).
Ingredients:
- Donut Holes
- Pretzel Sticks
- White Frosting
- Candy Eyes or Chocolate Chips
First, Break the pretzel sticks in half and insert 4 on each side of the donut hole.
Tip: We found it was helpful to poke the holes first with a skewer and then put the pretzels in.
Next, put a dot of frosting on the middle of each donut hole.
Push a candy eye into the frosting or you can use a chocolate chip in the middle of the vanilla frosting for the same effect.
We found that these display best on a tray or platter so the pretzel sticks don’t break out of the donut holes. Put them into a huge bowl at your own risk.
It is always interesting to watch the kids eat these. Do they eat the pretzels first or just dive right in? Either way, this sweet treat is so fun to make and eat.
