Ways to Use the Mario Coloring Sheets

Make a Mario Book

Use these printable sheets to make a Mario book. Color the pages and staple them together. Make a cover that says “My Mario Book”.

Create a Mario Sticker Book

Turn it into a sticker book. The blank side of the coloring pages can be used to collect Mario stickers or other stickers. This is a great idea for a travel activity.

Write a Mario Story

Color a picture and tell a Mario story. Have your child tell you a story about the picture they just colored. Put the story and the picture together to make a book. Story ideas could include:

  • Mario and Yoshi’s Ride
  • Capture the Flag

Cut out gold circles from construction paper or buy gold coins from a dollar store. Hide them around the house and have your child find them. You can hide 10 for counting practice. Write words on them that make a sentence once they are all found. Find the coins that spell your name. Write numbers on them and put them in numerical order as they are found. The possibilities are endless.

Make a Mario obstacle course. Put pillows on the floor to walk on, items to jump over, and things to crawl under. Have a red flag at the end to jump up and grab.

M is for Mario Letter Hunt

Go on a letter hunt. Find things around your house that start with M for Mario or L for Luigi. Put them in two separate piles. Make it an I Spy game at the grocery story looking for all of the items that start with M that Mario would buy or eat and all of the things that start with L that Luigi would buy or eat Every time your child sees one, he can say “Let’s-a-Go!”

Mario Play Dough Activity

Make different power ups and details of Mario world using play dough. For younger children, hide different gems or stones inside a ball of play dough for them to find and pull apart. This is great for strengthening finger muscles.

Look for Mushrooms

Go outside and on a hunt for mushrooms. Not all mushrooms are meant for eating. You can press the mushrooms to paper to make spore prints.

Cardboard Box Mario Kart

Make a large Super Mario tube out of boxes. Paint it. Pretend you are Mario or Luigi going to a different place. Turn a large cardboard box or laundry basket into a Mario Kart. Pretend you are on a challenging course.

Lego Mario World

If you have a small Mario or Luigi character, design a world for it out of blocks. Add blocks to jump over, tubes to go down, and even thing to jump on or find.

Use painters tape and make a Mario Kart course for your own small cars. Or design the course outside with sidewalk chalk.
