This was SO fun! You can use the Beware of Crocodiles game to practice colors, numbers, words, shapes, or the alphabet.
Dad helping B find his name
- Cut crocodiles out of green construction paper and draw eyes and sharp teeth.
- Then, I wrote our family’s names on index cards (this is where you’d substitute shapes, colors, letters, numbers, etc.).
- Line up the crocodiles down a hall or long area with the pile of index cards at the end.
- I told B to jump over the crocodiles like Diego and go find his name in the pile. (alternatives: tip toe, skip, bear crawl, bunny hop, etc.) In a dramatic voice I said, “Watch out for their sharp teeth! Don’t let them bite your toes.” but he said “Mom, they aren’t REAL crocodiles!”. Ok!
