For B’s 3rd birthday, we built him this pretend play grocery store. This awesome DIY pretend play store is easy to make and will provide hours of pretend play.
We used two shoe organizers (turned on their sides) for the bottom, a piece of shelf we stumbled upon at Lowes for the counter ($9.99) and shoe bins ($1 each) to organize the food.
A few extra special details are the hooks on the side for bags, price tags, a hat and nametag, and a sign (not shown). Hours of fun for a small price!

How easy and fun! And you know, I think the more "creative" set-ups like this are truly more fun and imaginative for our kids! :)

I think this is FANTASTIC!!!! Your birthday sweetheart will enjoy YEARS of FUN with this. I'm making a play office now and a store is next on my list-- if only we all had an entire HOUSE to dedicate to imaginary PLAY! THANKS for sharing.
