Baby Activity – Playing with Water

baby activity playing with water

Jen at Creative and Curious Kids, does a Baby Times post and had the idea to let your baby splash in a bowl or bucket of water.  It is a great sensory experience! I tried it with N and she kept trying to put the bowl in her mouth so I poured a half of a bowl of water on her high chair tray and let her spread it around and splash in it. She loved it!

Love getting more baby ideas! Mine is just starting to grab everything! The highchair is a good idea!

I’ve done that with my 9-month old too. I’ve also used cornstarch, sugar, and flour to give her different textures to explore that are edible (although not always tasty!).

Great idea. It is so much fun to watch my six month old in the bath, it’s like the water is new every time even though she has experienced it before. I have never thought of just letting her play with water on her highchair. Thanks for sharing!

Honestly, I always say I hate doing activities with the kids, but two weeks into summer vacations, and I’m desperately trying to find stuff other than riding our bikes around and around the block! I’m going to be checking out this blog further!
