What’s Missing?

What’s Missing?
What’s Missing? A critical thinking game for your preschooler!

(top row) fork – missing middle, house – missing door, car – missing wheels
(middle row) flower, missing petals – happy face, missing mouth – dog, missing tail
(bottom row) letter A, letter B, alphabet
B and I were drawing on his easel the other day and I started drawing pictures and asking him, “What’s missing?”.  I was really surprised at how quickly he caught on and how much fun we had with this game. He insisted on drawing in the missing part and even had fun trying some of his own (the A shown above). Next time you are waiting somewhere and need a quick activity, give this one a try!

This is so great! So many of the activities we give our little ones don't require problem solving. I think it's awesome to begin that process when they are still young and think it's fun-- then later they won't get frustrated by it.

Hi Nicole,

Your blog is fabulous! I follow quite a few 'kids activities' blogs, but none are so focused at just the right age for my 3 (almost 4) year old. I only went through the first page but now I've got to keep going! I'm going to do a little post on my blog about your site. Thanks for all the great ideas!
