Copy Me – A Drawing Version

Recently we tried a “Copy Me – A Critical Thinking Activity” using objects found around the house. Now we took it one step further and tried “Copy Me – A Drawing Version”.

Simply draw something on one side of the page and have your child copy you on the other side. It is best to start with geometric shapes and pictures that consist mostly of shapes.

Don’t forget to have your child draw something and you take a turn copying! This game is great for waiting rooms and long car rides. Try it on different surfaces like on a magna doodle, aqua doodle, sand, or shaving cream.

My 7 year old has been into drawing lately. She one a gift card for reading this summer and ordered two drawing books. She wants to improve her book illustrations. Cute and simple idea. We did creating with squiggles last week.
