Count and Sort – Beginning Counting Game

Count and Sort – Beginning Counting Game
Here’s a beginning counting game for your toddler that is easy to prep with materials you probably already have on hand.

Yesterday, I shared a Roll and Count game that we really enjoyed playing to help N practice one to one correspondence with numbers 1-3.
We also really loved this Count and Sort game idea from The Princess and the Tot.
How to Play:
  1. Put stickers on index cards (I only put 1, 2, or 3 stickers on each card).
  2. Write the corresponding numbers on paper bags.
  3. Have your child count how many stickers are on the card and put it in the bag with that number on it.
You can use this game with larger numbers, shapes, or any other thing you are working on with your child.
