Llama Llama Red Pajama Dice Game is a free, fun counting game for your toddler or preschooler.
Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney is such a fun book to read (as well as the other Llama Llama books). My kids love the pictures and it always gives us an opportunity to talk about feelings (How the Llama is feeling).
To go along with this book, I made a dice game to give N a chance to practice counting and one to one correspondence. This style of game is always a hit with both of my kids (5 years old and 2 years old).
How to Play:
*Roll the die (or spin a spinner).
*Cover the corresponding number of pictures on your game board. We used garden stones from the dollar store. You can use anything for counters – cereal, m&ms, blocks, pom poms, etc.
*Encourage your child to cover the pictures working top to bottom, left to right. Only one counter on each picture.
*When the grid is full, you win!
