Snowflake Craft

Snowflake Craft

We all have Q-tips on hand. They can be cut and arranged to make this beautiful snowflake craft and they provide a great lesson about how God makes everyone different!

Materials:

  • Construction Paper
  • Q-tips
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Cut the Q-tips into various sizes. Keep some whole.
  2. Let your kids use their imagination to figure out some beautiful snowflake shapes.
  3. Glue your Q-tip snowflakes in place on the paper.

Message Parents can Share with Their Kids

You’ve heard the expression, “No two snowflakes are alike.” Oftentimes God leaves us clues in nature that teach us about His love. Snowflakes are a little like people. No two people are alike, and yet, God loves them all. Jesus said in Luke 12:7 that the very hairs on your head are numbered. Obviously, every person in the world has a different number of hairs.

Isn’t God’s creativity amazing, in that he makes every snowflake different? Isn’t God’s love amazing, in that he creates millions of people, all different, and he knows and loves each and every one of us?

I really like the snowflake project, and also the learning lesson behind it about God and uniqueness. May the river of water that God has put in you continue flowing with great art projects.
