Hide and Seek Bottle for Baby

Hide and Seek Bottle for Baby

Along with my outdoor loving 3 year old I also have a 9 month old. She is always interested in what big brother is doing and sometimes we do activities that just aren’t good for her age. I try to do those during nap time but sometimes it can’t be helped. So with the help of big brother we made a Hide and Seek Bottle for Baby to keep her occupied and engaged.

First, you need an empty plastic container and remove the label. I think this had popcorn kernels in it.

Next, brother and I went around and I let him pick out all the things he wanted to hide for his sister. I love giving him ownership in this and praised him for making it for his sister.

Then I filled the empty bottle with rice and the objects and put the lid back on tight.

Then we shook it up and rolled it all around to see the objects.

Then we gave it to sister and watched her roll it, shake it, and crawl after it.

This kept her engaged and happy for quite a while which is always a win when you have two who demand mommy’s attention at the same time.  This is also helpful at the dinner table to keep her occupied after she finishes her food. And in the car when we are waiting in the Preschool pick up lane a few days a week.
