Describing Objects Game

Describing Objects Game

You can play this describing objects game with any 5 objects you find around the house or in your playroom.

Describing Objects Game for Toddlers

Set out 5 objects (cars, animals, letters, books, blocks, etc.).
Tell your child you are going to play a guessing game.
Describe one of the objects and see if they can pick out the one you are describing.
“Can you find the animal that is black, growls, and eats fish?” “That’s right the black bear!”.

I found this idea on Explorations in Learning.

B had a great time with this game and soon after we started he wanted me to guess his descriptions. What a fun way to teach attributes of an object. I like that this activity can be played with so many different items and can also be played on the go.

I love this. We started "working on" descriptions a few days ago using a puzzle she has.

What a great activity that employs listening and thinking skills, but the best part is that it's fun. Thank's for sharing.
