Yesterday we shared seashell activities.
Today, we created and played with Alphabet Rocks.
Collect rocks and use a Sharpie to write the letters on them. Seal with Modge Podge (optional – we didn’t).
Alphabet Rock Activities:
Put the rocks in alphabetical order
Sort the Rocks – Capital/Lowercase
Match the Rocks – Capital/Lowercase
Spell your name
Make words
Identify Letters – “Can you find the N?”
Identify Letter Sounds – “Can you find the letter that says /n/?”
Write letters with chalk on the sidewalk and match the rocks to the letters.

I love this idea!! It's a good reason to get outside with the kids and do some exploring. Then we get to create the alphabet with the rocks we find. Thanks!!
