Although we will all be counting down to Christmas with The Activity Mom’s Christmas Countdown, I also wanted something extra for B (5 1/2 years old) to work on during Winter break.
He loves building with Legos so I decided to give him a Lego Christmas Countdown. I printed 24 different sets of Lego building instructions (found under “monthly builds”). I will give him a different project to build each day in December until Christmas. It was a lot of printing, but I also thought it would be neat to keep them in a binder for future Lego fun.
*****UPDATE: The link I originally used to make a Lego Christmas Countdown no longer works. Instead here are a few great resources we love that you can use to make a Countdown to Christmas with Legos:

Frugal Fun 4 Boys offers these free, printable building cards that are awesome!

Frugal Fun 4 Boys also has this Christmas Lego resource that you can use as a countdown.

Great idea! My boys love legos but tend to build a lot of fighter jets, this could lead to something much better.

What a great idea! I love how it's making use of what you already have and something he'll be able to enjoy long after advent.
