While your preschooler is learning letters, add a fun challenge with these DIY letter puzzles.

Materials: craft sticks, permanent marker

Letter Puzzles

I used foam craft sticks (from a dollar store) for our puzzles, but any craft sticks, popsicle sticks, or strips of cardboard would work. Use whatever you have on hand. I looped a piece of tape on the table and stuck the craft sticks in a row.

Then, I drew the letter and colored it in.Writing the numbers or drawing the dots at the bottom of each stick helps your child put the sticks in order to discover the letter. WIthout the numbers or dots, the puzzles can be difficult. Another idea is to put letters at the bottom of the stick to put in alphabetical order.

Mix up the sticks and challenge your child to put them in order.

These puzzles are a great busy bag idea, letter of the week activity, or an easy travel game.
