I have never met a toddler or preschooler that isn’t fascinated by the animals at the zoo. Whether your child gets excited to spot a zoo animal or has the desire to know all of the facts about each animal, these zoo animal puzzles are a must!
My favorite thing about these zoo animal puzzles is the real pictures (instead of cartoon clipart).
Animals Included:
- Tortoise
- Rhinoceros
- Polar Bear
- Elephant
- Seal
- Giraffe
- Camel
- Hippo
Simply print, cut, and challenge your child to complete the puzzles.
Tips:
- For younger children, give them the pieces to just one puzzle at a time.
- For older children, give them a few puzzles to complete so they will have to sort through multiple pieces to find the ones that belong to the animal that they are putting together (great for visual discrimination skills).
Other Ideas:
- Laminate the pieces (optional) and put magnets on the back to turn these puzzles into an activity to work with on a vertical surface such as your refrigerator or magnetic easel. The vertical surface is important for developing wrist and shoulder muscles!
- Put the pieces in a pencil pouch or ziplock and take them with you while you are on the go. They are great for waiting rooms or in the car.
