Cooking with Kids – Rice Krispies Treat Balls Recipe
These Rice Krispies Treat Balls are SUPER easy for the kids to make and they are so delicious!
My recommendation is to make the caramel sauce in advance, and just reheat it in the microwave on the day you want to use it. It also freezes well (both the sauce and the finished marshmellow balls) and since this recipe makes a lot, you can keep the caramel sauce for next time!
- 1 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup butter
- 30 individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
Combine all ingredients in a glass bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, and heat, stirring, until melted and smooth. Remove the caramel sauce from the heat.
Now, it’s ready to be the easiest and yummiest kid friendly sweet treat!
Using a wooden skewer place one marshmallow on the end.
Dip the marshmallow into the caramel sauce and swirl it around to make sure the caramel sauce covers the entire marshmallow.
Then dip it directly into a bowl of rice krispy cereal.
Let them dry on a piece of waxed paper or parchment paper.
