Try this Witch’s Hat Bookmark craft to make a bookmark for yourself or for your friends to celebrate Halloween.
Use your witch’s hat bookmark to save your place in a book by sliding it over the top corner.
- Origami Paper
- Construction Paper
Step 1 – Take a piece of origami paper and turn it diagonally as shown.
Step 2 – Take the top point of the paper and bring it down to the bottom point. Fold and crease in the middle. This will create a triangular shape.
Step 3 – Take the top, left point of the triangle and bring it down to the bottom point. Fold and crease.
Step 4 – Bring the top, right corner of the triangle down to the bottom point. Fold and crease.
Step 5 – Unfold the corners.
Step 6 – Fold the top layer of the bottom point up to the top and crease.
Step 7 -Fold the corners back down to their previous position.
Step 8 – Tuck both bottom points up and underneath the fold from step 6.
Step 9 – Cut out a witch’s hat shape (triangle with an oval at the bottom) and three rectangles from construction paper.
Step 10 – Glue the hat to the top of the bookmark.
Step 11 – Place the largest rectangle on the hat and glue it.
Step 12 – Glue the medium sized rectangle onto the hat.
Step 13 – Set the smallest rectangle on top of the medium sized rectangle and glue it.
