Turkey Alphabet Game

How to Play

  1. Put the cards face down in a pile.
  2. Take turns picking a card.
  3. Say the letter of the alphabet (or letter sound or something that starts with that letter depending on your child’s skill level).
  4. If you get it right, keep the card.
  5. When someone picks the turkey card that says “You Win”, they win!

This is such a simple game, yet it interests my 2 year old AND 5 year old. It is a great game to keep in your purse and play when you have to wait somewhere.

These games are a great way to give extra practice with lowercase letters, uppercase letters, and letter sounds in a fun way. Teachers can play them in a small group or put them in literacy centers in the month of November. It is so much fun to play and because it is a quick game, kids love to play it over and over again.
